Step 1 – Clear Your Mind
Carrie and I went to see “Sorcerer’s Apprentice” the other night. What an awesome movie. Nicholas Cage was super hot. He’s just looking better and better.
In the movie, the sorcerer told his apprentice that it takes three simple steps to create fire: 1) Clear your mind; 2) See the molecules; 3) Make them shake.
The evening after we saw the movie, Carrie and I were standing in front of the glass patio door. I told her I was going to make a plasma ball. I squinted my eyes and started moving my hands around as though I were shaping a ball like they did in the movie.
I said in my mystical, magical voice, “First, I’m going to clear my mind.”
“This shouldn’t take long,” quipped Carrie. She’s sooooo snarky sometimes…well, most of the time.
“What’s step two?” I asked.
“I don’t remember,” she said.
I started over…rubbing my hands together, eyes all squinty.
“First, I’m going to clear my mind.”
Carrie laughed and made fun of me.
“You remember, he misfired quite a few times there in the beginning.”
All of a sudden, a HUGE freakin’ streak of lighting flashed across the sky right outside the patio door right smack in the direction where I was aiming my attention, followed by a booming clap of thunder. I’m not kidding. It scared the crap out of both of us.
I did that. I’m sure of it. I did it. Yep. Uh-huh. You know it.
