The Biggest Loser Club

Today is the first day of our Biggest Loser Club.  We have a big group.  There are at least seventeen of us, if not more.  We’re going to put $5.00 each in the pot – I guess at each meeting, I’m not sure yet.  The Biggest Loser will get the cash.  I’ve been looking forward to this for a couple of weeks now, so I’m all set.  I have a plan.

My diet is going to be a whole foods type of diet – no sugar, alcohol, processed foods, dairy, meat products, or white flour.  I’ll be having whole grains, fruits and veggies, and nothing more.

For my exercise, I’ll be doing an hour a day of Wii Fit.  What a fun way to burn calories, and I can shake it up with a different game each day.

I’m going to start with small goals.  My first goal is for my current size 12 pants to fit comfortably.  They have been feeling tight lately.  That’s a very tiny goal which I should achieve this week.  My second goal will be for my big stash of size 12 petites to fit.  My third goal is to fit comfortably into my size 10 non-stretchy jeans.

I have a list of rewards in place for my accomplishments.  I’ve decided to reward myself with large gifts – nothing shabby here.  One of the gifts will be a new iPhone, another will be a Keurig coffee maker, and a third will be an iPad.

I’m an extremely competitive person, so I know without a doubt that I will be The Biggest Loser…and in losing I will gain a healthier and better-looking body - plus really great gadgets and will get to play tons of video games in the process.  Yay!  Let’s do it!

Wiiiiiiiii

The kiddos gave me a Wii for Mother’s Day.  It’s the best present ever.  I’ve been playing a lot of Wii tennis and am loving every minute of it.

The first time I checked my fitness age, it was 80.  Yes, I was shocked.  I thought it would be 60 maybe.  I checked it again yesterday, and it had dropped to 73.  Progress.

I’ve been finding the hot Vinyasa classes difficult because I didn’t have enough stamina.  I think this will solve that problem…if I’m not too tired to go to yoga now.

The Wii has been great for family time.  It brings everybody out of their rooms to play.

I love Wii!  I hear it’s good for weight loss. I’m going to reward myself with Dance Dance Revolution once I lose a little weight.
